1. Exploratory

Probe basic facts and knowledge found in the reading. (What research evidence supports _________? Type up several facts and basic knowledge from the reading. Relate this to what you find in other resources, prior activities for stronger scores.))

Silicon Ranch solar project is spread over 135 acres of land. The project generates 43,000MWH electricity and supplies. It provides clean energy to power 3,000 households. Silicon’s Ranch services to utilities, industrial facilities, governmental agencies, military and defense facilities, education institutions and commercial businesses.

2. Diagnostic

Probe motives or causes.  (Why? (Tell your reader why this occurs. Explain the causes in detail.))

The motive for this project is to customized renewable energy, carbon and battery storage solutions. To provide clean affordable renewable energy to communities. Part of the motives to bring this project into place is also the fact of utilities around the country have closed. The panels that they use are thinner than what most solar panels companies use, the panels follow the sun through out the day.

3. Cause and Effect

Causal relationships between ideas, actions, or events. (If __________ occurs, what happens?)

The Silicon Ranch project has been able to provide to about 8500 customers clean and renewable energy. The Silicon Ranch project makes affordable to customer to allow them to have clean and renewable energy. Silicon’s Ranch services to utilities, industrial facilities, governmental agencies, military and defense facilities, education institutions and commercial businesses.

4. Priority

Seek to identify the most important issue. (What is the most important issue?)

The most important issue that Silicon Ranch Project is tackling is affordable clean renewable energy for the environment. This project also provides scholarships to college students that want to pursue a career in the solar industry. This project wants to preserver the use of fossil fuels avoids depleting of natural resources.

5. Application

Probe for relationships and connect theory to practice. (How does this apply to you? How is this related to culture as we have studied so far?)

This applies to me because once all the natural resources are depleted there is no way of getting them back. The use of an alternative energy resource is a benefit to me is that I can get affordable renewable clean energy. As a culture this as helps not only me but those around me and those that are in the states that coal burning is still occurring. This would help with all the health issues that families and workers are facing today for a little amount of electricity that is received by burn coal. It would also help the environment with all the pollution that is occurring when burning coal.

6. Critical

Analyze how this challenges your thinking/assumptions. (How did this change your thinking? Did it? Why?)

The silicone project has definitely changed my thinking on solar panels. I definitely want our future to have natural resources and not then be depleted. Before my thoughts were they were too expensive to afford in a home. I see that the silicone ranch project Is trying to conserve the amount of natural resources used by creating renewable clean energy to consumers and to businesses. I also think they're trying to help out those individuals that work burning coal and live in the surrounding areas that are affected by health issues. The silicone project is also trying to conserve pollution that is created by the coal burning. I am definitely considering to look into solar panels to help out the environment and also to produce the use of clean renewable energy in my home for my family.
